You dont even want to ask, the feed store had a 18 wheeler delivered to Salado $85 not unloaded. Hay is few a far between around here I bought 329 sq bales on a patch that makes around 1200 each cutting. Those that have hay are not selling it even after they took all their cows to market, I think they are waiting for $100 a bale to tune lose of it.
Not sure what feed you are using but the stocker 10 you bump the amount of feed because of the higher fiber and cut back on the hay by putting in a pen and just letting them in for a hour or so.
Might also lookk at the corn silage due to the crops were lost around here because of no rain, they are grinding it all up. Hope it helps.

Hay you two, ;D
Our friend that bales ours is holding onto his for his cows now, he's turned his regular customers down and won't sell any. Thank goodness he's holding onto quite a few large round bales for us or we'd be in trouble. His price is $60.
Found a guy up in Crescent that did have 1750# for $50 but I'm sure he's out now. Hadn't checked in a week.
Charlie how much do you bump up, ought oh, wait just a minute you don't feed like a regular, so let me try this, how much feed would a regular person bump their feed up to ?
Like we've talked before to be a bull, cow, calf whatever on your place is livestock heave you feed so good ;D
This is getting rough around here with this heat...we're hanging on.

Right now we are feeding the cows 10lbs a day each and every body is still holding good condition even with calves on them, and grass is poor at best. The bulls get a third of a bag and three leafs of hay each and are ready to go to a event any time. Not fat and for sure not poor. You for sure need to keep them wormed with the poor grass conditions and switch from pour on to injectable.

You're right again mister... Scalco came up and did just what you suggested and I never thought about it. Y'all are just too smart but we're learning from ya and that's a good thing So many cattle moving RD's been hauling like you wouldn't believe. With fuel the way it is and the prices per 100 the cost of beef is gonna go crazy don't ya think?
